UPDATE: Roanoke Street Paving Delayed Due to Weather

UPDATE:

The Roanoke Street paving will be delayed due to weather until the anticipated start date of October 9, 2022. The Town will be reviewing temperatures next week to determine an official start date. Weather conditions may postpone the project to spring if night time temperatures are not sufficient for completing the project this fall.

---------------------------------------------------------

Paving along Roanoke Street will begin the evening of October 2. This work will be from the 460 Interchange near Falling Branch Road to Tower Rd/Hampton Blvd. The paving operations will be restricted to night-time hours (8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) to limit traffic impacts. Work is expected to extend into mid-November. Nightly lane closures are to be expected with some ramp closures at the interchanges. Additional notifications will be provided as closures are scheduled.

Future Roanoke Street Paving from Depot Street to E Main Street will follow in future years after completion of the ongoing waterline replacement project. The Town anticipates that repaving to occur in the Fall of 2023 or Spring of 2024.
