OAR is a community-based nonprofit which envisions a safe and thriving community where those impacted by the legal system enjoy equal civil anMake sure to sign up for the Chamber's free Small Business Roundtable on August 25 from 11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. as we welcome Elizabeth Jones Valderrama, Executive Director, OAR of Arlington, Alexandria, and Falls Church, to talkd human rights. OAR's downstream work allows them to be on the journey with individuals of all genders returning to the community from incarceration and support their families in the homecoming process.
 
In this month’s Small Business Roundtable, learn why it is important for employers to "ban the box" and the additional benefits they get from hiring individuals that previously experienced incarceration. OAR will also be sharing resources on the importance of hiring BIPOC talent and other diverse populations.

Registration for current members of the Chamber is free. Prospective members may register for $20. All registrants will receive the Zoom meeting link in the confirmation email upon registration.
