The Virginia Tech women’s golf team finished in eighth place on the final day of stroke play at the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championship, held at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, according to an April 17 announcement.

The event saw the Hokies remain competitive among their conference peers, with notable performances from Valentine Delon and Xin Yao Wang. The team recorded a total score of 5-under-par 859 over two days (with rounds of 283, 297, and a season-best 279).

Delon tied for eleventh place individually with a score of four-under-par 212 (70, 73, 69). Wang finished tied for eighteenth at three-under-par 213 (73, 73, and an impressive final round of 67). Wang’s last round marked the best individual score by a Hokie golfer at the ACC Championship in program history. She surpassed Alyssa Montgomery’s previous record round of 68 set at Sedgefield in 2021.

Stanford led all teams during stroke play with a cumulative score of thirty-three under par (831), posting consistent rounds of 275, 278, and another matching round of 278.

Looking ahead, Virginia Tech will await its NCAA Regional selection on Wednesday, April 29. The selection show is scheduled for broadcast at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on GOLF Channel. The NCAA Regional Tournament is set to take place May 11–13.
