Virginia Tech will begin its campaign in the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship with a first-round match against Louisville on April 14. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Cary, North Carolina.

The Hokies enter the postseason as the 17th seed after finishing their regular season with a record of four wins and sixteen losses, including one win in conference play. Their most recent match was a 4-1 loss to Wake Forest, during which Arina Gamretkaia secured a singles victory on her senior day.

Neither Virginia Tech nor Louisville are ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association at the time of the tournament bracket announcement. Louisville holds a season record of ten wins and eleven losses, including one conference win against Florida State. The Cardinals are led by Alice Otis on Court 1, who achieved an upset over Cal’s Johanne Svendsen—ranked No. 16 nationally—on March 27.

Louisville comes into the tournament following a decisive sweep against Austin Peay on April 11. This will be the first meeting between Virginia Tech and Louisville this season.

If Virginia Tech advances past Louisville, they will move on to face ninth-seeded Stanford on April 15 at 3:30 p.m.
