In Game One, Gaby Mizelle started the scoring with her fifth home run of the season, helping lead a four-run second inning for Virginia Tech. Jordan Lynch added two home runs in this game, including a three-run shot in the fifth inning that extended the lead to double digits. Game Two saw continued offensive output from Virginia Tech, beginning with three straight hits to open play. Nora Abromavage hit her tenth home run of the season, while Michelle Chatfield and Kylie Aldridge each contributed home runs as well. Bree Carrico entered in relief during this game and tied her career-high ten strikeouts over four innings pitched.
