Kristen Skiera and the Virginia Tech lacrosse team announced on June 2 the signing of two new players for the upcoming season: Ave Menna from Liberty and Kendall Wilson from Campbell.

Menna played three seasons at Liberty, appearing in 50 games with 31 starts. Over her career, she accumulated 276 draw controls, caused 25 turnovers, collected 14 ground balls, and registered two assists. In the 2026 season, Menna started in 11 of 16 games and ranked fourth in the ASUN conference for draw controls per game at 5.56. During her sophomore year, she recorded 174 draws—the second-highest single-season total in Liberty’s program history—and her career total also ranks second all-time for the school.

Menna has twice received the CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and was named to the ASUN All-Conference Second Team in 2025.

Wilson earned All-CAA Second Team honors in 2026 after starting all 17 games on defense for Campbell. She ranked sixteenth nationally among Division I players with an average of 2.41 caused turnovers per game that season. Her final tally included 41 caused turnovers, along with collecting 30 ground balls and securing 42 draw controls. As a freshman, Wilson was selected to the CAA All-Rookie Team after playing in fifteen games where she picked up 30 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers.

The addition of Menna and Wilson brings experience on both ends of the field as Virginia Tech prepares for its next campaign.
