Virginia Tech Hokies football announced on March 10 that its 2026 Spring Game, presented by Eagle Construction, will take place at 3 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, April 18 at Lane Stadium. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

The annual spring game gives fans their first look at head coach James Franklin’s team as it prepares for the upcoming season. “Spring games are a great opportunity for our fans to see the progress our players have made during the offseason,” said Coach Franklin. “We’re excited to welcome Hokie Nation back to Lane Stadium.”

The Spring Game is part of Hokie Hi Weekend at Home, a multi-day celebration that includes athletic events and community traditions across Blacksburg. Saturday’s activities begin with the 3.2-Mile Run in Remembrance at 9 a.m., which starts with a moment of silence on the Drillfield honoring the 32 students and faculty members lost on April 16, 2007.

Other athletic events scheduled for Saturday include baseball against Pittsburgh at English Field at 6 p.m., and softball versus Georgia Tech at Tech Softball Park at 7 p.m. Additional baseball and softball games are planned throughout the weekend, along with a Thursday evening lacrosse match against Virginia.

The Spring Game also coincides with Spring Family Weekend, welcoming families to campus for various programs hosted by Virginia Tech’s New Student and Family Programs office.

Further details about game format, fan activities such as Hokie Village and Hokie Walk timing will be announced closer to the event date. Fans interested in attending are encouraged to complete an RSVP form to receive updates and information about opportunities to win prizes.
