Virginia Tech announced on May 11 that its scheduled baseball game against Marshall on May 12 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The game was set to take place at Jack Cook Field in Huntington, West Virginia.

The cancellation affects both teams’ regular season plans, as they will not have an opportunity to make up the contest. No reason for the cancellation was provided in the announcement.

Following this change, Virginia Tech (27-22, 13-14 Atlantic Coast Conference) is set to resume its regular season schedule with a three-game series against Clemson starting Thursday, May 14 at English Field. The games are scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m., Friday at 3 p.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m.
