UVA Wise edges Bluefield State 13-12 in Division II baseball after Delph’s start

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m., the UVA Wise Cavaliers, featuring former Pulaski County Senior High School standout Logan Delph, secured a 13-12 win in their NCAA Division II baseball game against Bluefield State Big Blues.

Burchell Stallard Baseball Field was the venue for this contest, which marked the third meeting between the teams this season. In their previous matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Cavaliers fell 13-8 to the Big Blues.

Delph surrendered six earned runs over 1.1 innings, issuing three walks with one strikeout.

The Cavaliers are slated for their next game on Wednesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Burchell Stallard Baseball Field, where they will face the Ferrum Panthers.
