The UVA Wise Cavaliers, with former Pulaski County Senior High School standout Logan Delph on the roster, were defeated 6-5 by the Ferrum Panthers in NCAA Division II baseball on Wednesday, March 4, at 5 p.m.

Burchell Stallard Baseball Field was the site for the contest, marking the second meeting between the teams this season. In their prior encounter on Wednesday, March 4, the Cavaliers fell to the Panthers 5-4.

Delph allowed three earned runs in 2.1 innings pitched and issued four walks.

The Cavaliers are slated to play next on Friday, March 6, at 4 p.m., again at Burchell Stallard Baseball Field, with Wingate Bulldogs scheduled as their opponent.
