284 students were enrolled for 4th-grade in Pulaski County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 284 4th-grade students enrolled in Pulaski County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 9.8% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 4th-grade students in the county was Pulaski Elementary School.

Within Pulaski County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Pulaski County ranked 60th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 60th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
