Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Vin Lananna announced Thursday (July 21) the slate of competition for Virginia’s 2022 cross country campaign that features three home meets at Panorama Farms.
The Cavaliers will kick off their season in Richmond, Va. when they compete in the Spider Alumni Open (Sept. 3) before returning to Charlottesville to host the Virginia Invitational (Sept. 16) at Panorama Farms.
Virginia will make the trip to Boston, Mass. for the Battle in Beantown (Sept. 23) and head to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Run (Sept. 30). Following two weeks on the road, the Cavaliers return home to host the Panorama Farms XC 23 Invitational (Oct. 15).
The postseason will open at home for Virginia as the Cavaliers are set to host the 2022 ACC Cross Country Championships (Oct. 28) for the first time since 2014. The NCAA Southeast Regional (Nov. 11) will be held in Louisville, Ky., while the NCAA Championships (Nov. 19) will be contested in Stillwater, Okla.
