The Town of Christiansburg's Engineering Department is hosting two stream cleanups this spring. This is a great volunteer opportunity where you'll collect trash to clean up our community while also learning more about the importance of these streams to our environment.
On April 2, assist in the preservation of a vital resource to our local environment by picking up litter at the Towne Branch Stream Restoration from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in parking lot F.
On April 16, help keep Christiansburg beautiful by collecting trash at the Diamond Hills Stream Restoration from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers will park and meet along Independence Boulevard between Sleepy Hollow Road & Gold Leaf Drive.
These events are rain or shine and are open to everyone, but children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bags and water will be provided. Gloves will also be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Don't forget to dress comfortably!
