City of Blacksburg issued the following announcement on March 2
The Virginia Building Code Officials Association (VBCOA) Region II is hosting a series of 2018 Building Code Update Classes at the Christiansburg Fire Station. Intended for contractors, the classes will review substantial code changes that have taken effect with the adoption of the 2018 Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC). The classes are divided into three sections: residential building code, commercial building code, and trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and gas fitting). Participants will be eligible to win copies of 2018 Virginia Building Code books and reference material. Spaces are limited, so sign up online today!
