Mason Earns Win in Four Sets at Home

11

George Mason University Athletic Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 29

The George Mason men's volleyball team (3-2) won in four sets (25-20, 21-25, 25-23, 26-24) against North Greenville (2-2) on Friday night inside the RAC.

In a game that was back-and-forth for a majority of match, the Green & Gold were able to string along some impressive scoring runs late to come away with a victory in the last two sets of the match.

"It wasn't pretty volleyball by us, and kudos to NGU, they are a very good team and well coached," stated Head Coach Jay Hosack. "We missed 25 serves and had 20 undirected errors in that match. Starting down 0-11 basically is very tough to come back from. I'm proud that we gutted out that win, but we can and will have to make it easier for ourselves in future matches."
