County of Amherst issued the following announcement on Oct. 28
The Economic Development Authority of Amherst County, Virginia, is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia with lead responsibility for promoting economic development within the County. The Authority is governed by a Board comprised of seven (7) directors, appointed by the Amherst County Board of Supervisors to four year terms. There is one opening on the Authority Board for County Election District 4 to fulfill an unexpired term ending December 31, 2024. The Board of Supervisors will consider applications to fill this seat from County citizens having residency in or owning a business in the County.
