Floyd County recently issued the following announcement.
Heather Blake, recipient of several scholarships and prizes, offers a unique violin recital with Dr. Polina Khastko on the piano, Sunday, October 10, from 3 pm until 5 pm. The event is offered to the public at no cost. Covid guidelines will be observed at the spacious Celebration Hall at the Floyd Eco Village. Donations will be appreciated and used to further Heather’s musical education. She is currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and plays a key role at the Blue Ridge Strings Program in Floyd , as well as in many outreach venues in her local area.
