22,950 people in their forties in US test positive for COVID-19 during week ending November 8

There were 22,950 people in their forties who in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 during the week ending November 8, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of those who provided figures, 540 individuals were hospitalized and 108 were admitted to the ICU.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.

Figures are accurate as of January 5.
