The Radford women’s golf team finished tied for 11th place at the Golfweek/Stifel Challenge, which concluded on April 8. Grace Addison and Shea Smith led the Highlanders with top-30 individual finishes among a field of 19 teams and 100 student athletes.

This tournament marked the end of Radford’s regular season schedule for the 2025-26 campaign. The team’s performance sets the stage as they prepare to defend their conference title in upcoming postseason play.

Addison opened with a strong first round, carding a three-over-par score that included one birdie. She improved to two-over in round two and completed the event at thirteen-over after three rounds, tying for 29th place individually with five total birdies. Smith also tied for Radford’s best finish, posting an even-par second round highlighted by birdies on five holes. After starting slowly on day three, she closed out her week with two more birdies to match Addison’s final standing.

Caroline Gilreath delivered a notable second-round performance, finishing two-over on Tuesday and ending up tied for 41st overall at sixteen-over par. Mckenzie Weddle followed closely behind Gilreath at seventeen-over par across consistent rounds of 76, 77, and 77 strokes each day.

The team posted scores of 303-294-314 for a combined total of +59 over three rounds at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (par-71; course length: 6,082 yards). Other participating teams included Akron, Ball State, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Evansville, Fairleigh Dickinson, Jacksonville State, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Morehead State, Ohio University (Ohio), Samford University (Samford), Stephen F. Austin University (Stephen F. Austin), Stonehill College (Stonehill), UNC Asheville (UNC Asheville), Western Michigan University (Western Michigan), and Winthrop University (Winthrop).

Looking ahead to postseason play next week in Fripp Island starting April 19th—the Highlanders aim to secure another Big South Championship title if they advance through stroke play into match play semifinals scheduled for April 22nd.
