Radford University announced on Apr. 23 that three members of its women’s golf team received Big South Conference postseason awards following the conclusion of the 2026 championship.

These recognitions highlight the achievements of Macy Johnson, Mckenzie Weddle, and Shea Smith during the 2025-26 season. Such awards reflect both academic and athletic excellence within collegiate sports.

Macy Johnson was named Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year for a second consecutive season. She is set to graduate early with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Economics and a minor in Accounting, and plans to pursue an MBA next year. Johnson has been on Radford’s Dean’s List every semester and serves as president of Beta Gamma Sigma business fraternity.

Mckenzie Weddle earned Second Team All-Conference honors after winning an individual championship at the Elon Invitational and being named Big South Golfer of the Week during the regular season. Weddle led Radford as top placer in three tournaments this year and finished in the top ten individually at the conference tournament.

Shea Smith received Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition for her performance throughout the season, including posting Radford’s third-best scoring average, leading team efforts at two tournaments, consistently finishing among her team’s top three, and tying a program record with a five-under round at Edisto Island Invitational.
