Radford Men’s Golf head coach Mike Grant announced on Mar. 17 that Carter Wolfe has signed to join the program for the 2026-2027 season.

The addition of Wolfe is seen as a significant move for the team, as he brings a strong record from his high school career. Grant said, “Carter has established himself as one of the top juniors in Va. He has just scratched the surface in terms of what type of player he can be. He is very well-rounded academically and athletically. We look forward to having Carter join our Highlander family.”

Wolfe comes from Gate City High School in Gate City, Virginia, where he achieved notable success at the high school level. In 2025, he contributed to winning the Virginia Class 2A state championship and earned first-team all-state honors for a second consecutive year after also receiving this recognition in 2024. Additionally, Wolfe won the 2025 Ridgefield Invitational and maintained an average score of 69.2 strokes per round during the 2024–2025 season.

The signing highlights Radford’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its men’s golf program with talented student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

As preparations begin for the upcoming season, observers will watch how Wolfe adapts to collegiate competition and contributes to Radford’s future successes.
