The Radford University men’s golf team completed play at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate on Mar. 30, finishing tenth out of fourteen teams. Louie Stott led the Highlanders, securing a team-best 31st place among individual competitors.

This result is significant as it highlights the team’s performance in a competitive field ahead of the upcoming Big South championship. Stott was consistent throughout the tournament, with his best round coming on the final day when he shot one over par. His strongest hole was a 560-yard par five on the front nine, where he recorded two birdies and one par across all rounds.

Tate Corbett finished just behind Stott by one stroke and placed 34th overall. Corbett’s standout moment came during his second round, shooting three under across the front nine and ending that day even with a score of 72 strokes. He finished with nine birdies for the tournament.

Benson Blevins rounded out Radford’s top three performers by finishing third on the team and tying for 39th overall. Blevins made ten birdies during stroke play—four of which were achieved in his best round on day one, where he shot even par.

The event took place at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, South Carolina—a par-72 course measuring 7,280 yards—and featured teams such as Campbell, Elon, East Carolina, Harvard, Old Dominion, Temple, Francis Marion and others among its fourteen participants.

Looking ahead to their next competition before conference championships begin later this spring season, Radford will compete at the Wofford Invitational from April 12 to April 13 in Spartanburg.
