Radford University’s men’s basketball team is set to host USC Upstate on Thursday, February 26, at the Dedmon Center. The game marks the Highlanders’ final home matchup of the 2025-26 regular season and will tip off at 7:00 p.m., broadcast live on ESPN+.
This contest comes as Radford closes out a successful stretch at home. Over the current season, Radford has secured its second consecutive year—and third in four years—with double-digit home victories. In conference play at the Dedmon Center, the Highlanders have posted a 5-3 record and are 6-2 in nonconference games. The team holds an average scoring margin of +11 over opponents at home while shooting 50% from the field compared to opponents’ 45%. Dennis Parker Jr. leads with an average of 19.8 points per game in home contests, followed by Del Jones (16.4 ppg) and Jaylon Johnson (11.1 ppg).
Reflecting on their previous meeting this season, Radford defeated USC Upstate in Spartanburg on December 31 with a score of 76-69. “In a game that featured eight lead changes, Radford was able to put things away for good over the final 10 minutes thanks to free throw opportunities and big buckets from Jones, Johnson and Parker Jr.” With this victory, Radford extended its series advantage to 12 wins against two losses and is currently on a four-game winning streak against USC Upstate.
Statistically, Radford enters this matchup ranked among the top teams nationally for scoring offense, free throws made per game, three-pointers made per game, and turnovers forced per game—placing them within the top 75 across these categories. The Highlanders force more than 13 turnovers per contest and hold a +1.17 turnover margin during Big South play.
USC Upstate arrives after improving performances despite challenges during conference play. The Spartans recently earned a win over Presbyterian (76-74) and had close losses against Longwood and Winthrop. In February, they also notched an overtime victory versus Charleston Southern (100-94). Karmani Gregory leads their scoring efforts in conference games with more than 16 points per outing; Mason Bendinger (14.4 ppg) and Carmelo Adkins (14.3 ppg) are additional offensive contributors for USC Upstate.
USC Upstate ranks among the top three rebounding teams defensively in their conference but allows opponents an average of nearly 38 rebounds per game.
The first 300 students attending Thursday’s matchup will receive complimentary hot dogs as part of a promotional giveaway.
