Blacksburg High School had the highest enrollment among Montgomery County schools, welcoming 1,314 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 51.9% of them were male, and 45.6% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 73.4% of Blacksburg High School’s total enrollment.

Among the 19 schools in Montgomery County, Christiansburg High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,069 students, while Blacksburg Middle School welcomed 995 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Blacksburg High School is part of Montgomery County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Montgomery County, with its main office in Blacksburg.
