Lynchburg Hornets claim 13-5 softball win as McKenzie Booth takes the mound

Former Auburn High School athlete McKenzie Booth helped her college team, the Lynchburg Hornets, secure a 13-5 victory over the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels in an NCAA Division III softball game at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18.

Aubrey R. Moon Jr. Field served as the site for their second contest against the Fighting Squirrels this season. During their previous meeting on Wednesday, March 18, the Hornets earned an 8-0 win.

Booth pitched two innings, allowing four earned runs, walking two, and striking out two opponents.

The Hornets are set to face the Roanoke Maroons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, again at Aubrey R. Moon Jr. Field.
