On Tuesday, March 18, former Blacksburg High School standouts Katey Mathena and Lorelei Spradlin’s current college team, the Carson-Newman Eagles, won 9-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Tusculum Pioneers.

The game took place at The Vick. This was their second matchup against the Pioneers this season.

The Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 12:55 p.m. at Bill Gatton Softball Field against UVA Wise Cavaliers.
