Grant relief available for Christiansburg small businesses impacted by COVID

Town of Christiansburg issued the following announcement on Jan. 5

The New River Valley Small Business Relief Program is offering grants to local businesses in the Town of Christiansburg, among other localities. Available grants reach up to $15,000 to help in the struggles small businesses have faced during the pandemic. Businesses within the counties of Montgomery, Floyd, Pulaski, Giles and the City of Radford may apply.

Funds for these grants has been provided by Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development as part of a Community Development Block Grant award to assist localities mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the regional economy.
