Delegate Chris Obenshain, a Republican elected in 2024 to represent Virginia’s 41st House district, has recently shared a series of posts on his Twitter account addressing topics ranging from international observances to state politics and national remembrance.
On January 26, 2026, Obenshain extended greetings for an international holiday, stating: “Happy Australia Day to our friends from Down Under! https://t.co/o5WBMBm3ag”.
Turning to state political matters on January 28, 2026, he commented on ongoing debates over legislative redistricting in Virginia. In his post he wrote: “It’s good that someone is finally pumping the brakes on Virginia Democrats’ blatantly partisan and legally questionable gerrymandering effort.
While the Courts do their job, common-sense Virginians must continue to call out the misinformation campaign to rebrand partisan”.
Later that same day, Obenshain marked the anniversary of a significant national tragedy. He posted: “40 years ago today, the space shuttle Challenger explosion stopped the Nation in its tracks. Today we remember these 7 brave Americans who – in the moving words of President Reagan – ‘slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God.’
May their memory continue to”.
Obenshain assumed office after winning election in November 2024 and succeeded Eileen Filler-Corn as representative for Virginia’s 41st House district.
