In his post, he stated: “Thank you to Attorney General Jason Miyares for joining this lawsuit against Ticketmaster and Live Nation to protect consumers from artificially inflated ticket prices.” The lawsuit is part of broader efforts by various states to address concerns about monopolistic practices in the live event ticketing industry.
The following day, Obenshain provided logistical details for voters in Montgomery and Roanoke counties as early voting was set to begin. He wrote: “Montgomery and Roanoke, early voting starts tomorrow! Polls open at 8am in Roanoke and 9am in Christiansburg. Get out and make your voice heard! “
Later on September 19, Obenshain marked POW/MIA Recognition Day with a message honoring military service members who were prisoners of war or remain missing in action. He shared: “POW/MIA Recognition Day reminds us all of the high cost of freedom and the bravery of those who fight for it. You will never be forgotten. “ This annual observance serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by military personnel and aims to ensure that their contributions are not overlooked.
