Chris Obenshain, a Republican elected to the Virginia State House in 2024 representing the 41st district, shared several messages on social media marking the Easter holiday and local community events.

On April 3, 2026, Obenshain posted about Good Friday, stating: “As Christians around the world gather on this Good Friday, we remember and reflect on Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and his free gift of salvation for all. May this be a day of hope and blessing.”

The following day, April 4, he commented on a local event: “Team O had a great time at the annual Blacksburg Easter Egg hunt this morning. Thanks to Blacksburg Parks and Recreation, @BlacksburgPD_VA and @BburgVolRescue for making it so much fun for the kids and families.”

On Easter Sunday, April 5, Obenshain posted another message: “Rejoice! Christ is risen! Wishing everyone a happy and abundant Easter.”

Obenshain began serving in the Virginia State House after winning election in 2024. He succeeded Eileen Filler-Corn as representative of Virginia’s 41st House district.
