Chris Obenshain, a Republican elected to the Virginia State House in 2024 to represent the state’s 41st House district, posted several updates on his social media account between May 13 and May 14, 2026.

On May 13, Obenshain acknowledged an unofficial holiday with the message: “Happy Top Gun Day to all who celebrate!” Later that day, he commented on changes within collegiate athletics, stating: “A long overdue and needed reform for college soccer. Also fits well with MLS’ move to a fall-to-spring schedule.”

The following day, Obenshain expressed support for Virginia Tech’s sports teams with the post: “Let’s go, Hokies! “

Obenshain succeeded Eileen Filler-Corn as state representative for Virginia’s 41st House district after winning election in 2024.
