The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on May 28 the opponents and game locations for the league’s 18-game men’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season. The schedule will begin in late December and conclude on the first Saturday of March.

Under this model, each team will play one primary partner both at home and away, as well as one variable partner in a home-and-away series determined annually. Teams will face each of the remaining teams once per season, either at home or away. This format was first implemented in the previous season.

For Virginia Tech, designated opponents include Clemson, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, SMU, and Syracuse at home only; Cal, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Pitt, Stanford, and Wake Forest away only; Virginia as their rival both home and away; Boston College as their variable partner both home and away; with Duke not appearing on their regular-season schedule.

The ACC Men’s Basketball Championship will again feature only the top 15 teams from regular-season standings. The tournament is scheduled to take place from Tuesday through Saturday, March 9-13 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. This marks the tournament’s return to Greensboro for its thirtieth occasion and its first since 2023. Tournament bracket details, including seeding and broadcast information, are set to be released on Saturday, March 6 after regular-season play concludes.

Virginia Tech basketball ticket memberships for the upcoming season are set to become available soon. Hokie Club donors as of March 1 will have priority access beginning Wednesday, June 3 at 10 a.m., followed by digital subscribers later that day before tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday, June 4.
